I'm Little Teapot

So I've been working on some teapots since this project, I had to make 4 to 5 teapots. So I had the idea of making an aztec one that was only for decoration, and then a flower/ nature design just came to me. I didn't want to make the teapots look like teapots, I wanted each of them to have a design and be disguised, which is why I make the handle like vines and the spout like a tree stump.
For another teapot, I thought of disguising it as a dragon, since my mom loves dragons and we both dragon boat. So I was thinking of making the body as the body of the teapot, the spout as the head and neck, the handle as the tail of the dragon, and the lid as spikes on top. Although I have not started working on it yet, I'm working on it today and wishing for the best.

On to the Next One

I know the one picture is kind of blurry so sorry about that! This project was to make a slip decorated vessel so it needs some kind of lid, but I could have gone about this so many ways, and I like decorating with slip so much, I might just make another one! So with this I decided to make a bouquet on this one so all the flowers pop out and the stems and leaves are jusy painted on. I hope it turns out well and looks good when its fired!

I had to make a handmade vessel with 3 wheel thrown spouts, and I thought to myself how the heck am I gonna make this look good? So I did pretty simple spouts, but when I was doing thwn, mt ceramics teacher said wow they look like Dr. Seuss trees, so then my mind started going and I thought of painting this all funky Dr. Seuss colors with stripes and maybe some zig zags and then on the book I thought of the little man on top on the thing so maybe I was thinking of doing him on top, but I'm not sure yet, but Im happy how it came out!
